Couple.net analyzed the factors that affect someone in deciding to date using the data of 100,000 dating service users from 1991 to 2003. In result, 9 factors like appearance (face, height), financial ability (Income, asset), family background (parents’ education, career, financial ability), personality are the main factors in deciding their preferred types.
Since then, by studying 67,136 single’s types of an ideal person compared with married couples, those factors weigh at different rate in deciding a spouse.
Men chose their spouse based on the factors in the order of appearance>Personality>Financial ability>Family background, women chose their spouse based on the factors in the order of financial ability>personality>family background>appearance.
Appearance was the most important factor for men, but financial ability was for women. Family background was least important for men and appearance was for women. Personality was the second most important for both men and women.
This is just an average measure for most people, but the factors may vary for each individual.
For instance, A likes a sandwich with lots of ham but no bell peppers, B likes everything in the sandwich with extra cheese and sauce. These types of customers should visit a sandwich shop where they can make their own.
Same for a type for an ideal person.
