In today’s world, single men and women meet at parties, through friends, introductions, or even via dating agencies.
There are also various marriage methods, from legally registering as a couple to simply living together as partners.
When remarrying, factors like whether one has a child, their age, and independence play a role.
With so many factors at play, both men and women consider various conditions when it comes to dating and marriage.
When choosing a partner, people often reflect on their own lives. Their upbringing and family background have a significant impact on choosing their significant other.
The so-called “ideal type” encompasses personality, looks (face, height, physique), occupation & education, and family background.
When these four factors that make up the ideal type are summed up to 100, how much do you think single men and women consider family background?
The global matching platform, Couple.net, surveyed 82,417 singles from 120 countries to determine the importance of family background when choosing a partner.
The results showed that African singles place the highest emphasis on family background, at 20%, followed by Asia and Europe at 19%, Oceania at 18.5%, North America at 18%, and South America at 16%.
While the difference isn’t significant, it turns out that African singles are the most likely to consider their partner’s family background.
It’s evident that a common mindset worldwide is that environmental factors represented by parents are equally as important as the individuals themselves.
